AI Usage & Acceptable Use Policy

Effective: October 6, 2026 | Last updated: October 5, 2026 | Incorporated into the Terms of Service §1 and binding on all Customers.

A. AI Usage Policy

A1. How AI works in Ajelix

The Service processes the content you submit — prompts, attached files, and task context — using AI models that run on servers owned and operated by Ajelix, located within the EU. Your content is not sent to any external AI provider; all AI processing takes place on Ajelix’s own infrastructure. Exception: in exceptional situations, such as a disruption of our own infrastructure, we may use a vetted external AI provider for as long as needed to keep the Service available; the safeguards that apply in that case are described in the Privacy Policy §5 and the Subprocessor List. Data protection terms are set out in the Privacy Policy and, for business customers acting as controllers, the DPA.

A2. Your data is not used for training

We do not use your Prompts, files, or generated outputs to train AI models. Your data is encrypted at rest, access to it is strictly limited and audit-logged, and we do not store it longer than needed for the Service.

A3. Outputs are machine-generated

  • Outputs may be incorrect, incomplete, or misleading, including formulas, financial figures, and document text. You must review all outputs before relying on them.
  • You are responsible for outputs you adopt, publish, file, or act on, and for compliance checks in your professional context (accounting, legal, tax).
  • Ajelix does not provide professional advice; outputs are decision support, not decisions.

A4. Rules for AI-generated content

You must not use the Service to generate content that:

  1. is illegal or infringes third-party rights (copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity);
  2. is defamatory, harassing, hateful, or discriminatory toward protected groups;
  3. is sexually exploitative of minors or otherwise violates child-safety law (absolute prohibition, zero tolerance);
  4. is malware, phishing, or designed to deceive infrastructure;
  5. constitutes prohibited AI practices under the EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, Art. 5) — including social scoring of persons, emotion recognition in the workplace or education, biometric categorization inferring sensitive traits, untargeted scraping of facial images for recognition databases, and exploitation of vulnerabilities causing harm;
  6. impersonates a real person or organization in a way likely to deceive;
  7. is AI-generated political, advertising, or public-interest content presented without the AI disclosure required by law (EU AI Act Art. 50 transparency; platform-specific rules);
  8. develops weapons, or provides operational instructions for serious physical harm.

A5. Disclosure of AI content

Where you publish AI-generated content and the applicable law or venue requires labeling it as AI-generated, you must label it. You may not use Ajelix to generate deepfakes of real people.

A6. Human oversight

For consequential uses (hiring, credit, legal, medical, safety-critical decisions), you must maintain meaningful human review of outputs before they affect a person. You must not deploy outputs as fully automated consequential decisions.

A7. Special-category data

Do not upload special-category personal data (health, biometric, religion, sexual orientation, criminal records) through the Service unless your organization has a lawful basis for processing it. You are responsible for having a lawful basis for any personal data in the content you process.

A8. Enforcement of AI rules

Violations may result in content blocking, task refusal, feature restriction, account suspension, or termination per Terms §11. Illegal content may be reported to authorities.

B. Acceptable Use Policy

The Service may be used only for lawful purposes. You must not:

B1. Access and integrity

  • breach or probe security, scan, or test without written permission;
  • circumvent rate limits, quotas, or usage limits; scrape or systematically harvest data or output;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract models or system prompts, except where law permits;
  • resell, sublicense, or share accounts/seat licenses across organizations without a partner agreement with Ajelix (contact support@ajelix.com for partner arrangements);
  • interfere with other customers’ use or the underlying infrastructure.

B2. Data you submit

  • You warrant you have the right to process all content you submit, including licenses for third-party files.
  • No malware, illegal content, or content violating §A4.
  • No generation of spam, bulk unsolicited outreach, or content intended to falsify reviews or engagement.

B3. Fair use

  • Each plan includes a fixed amount of AI usage per billing period; once the included usage is exhausted, further AI tasks are not processed and overage charges are not billed automatically (see Terms §4). Circumventing usage limits, including through multiple accounts or scripted task-splitting, is prohibited.
  • Shared-infrastructure capacity is protected by fair-use throttling in exceptional load situations; this is disclosed here and applied without discrimination.

B4. Enforcement

  • We may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate access for violations, with notice where practicable (Terms §11).
  • You may appeal enforcement decisions to support@ajelix.com; we review appeals within 5 business days.

B5. Reporting

Report abuse to support@ajelix.com. Counter-notice/appeal process as in B4.
